NAPOLEON — Napoleon finally capped off a notable season on the diamond with a Northern Lakes League makeup softball game on Wednesday, falling to Maumee 7-6 in nine innings.

The D-II regional runners-up took a 4-2 lead through three frames before the visiting Panthers tied it up with two runs in the fifth. Jenna Pilkington homered in a four-hit, four-RBI day for the Wildcats, which cap off their season at 16-9.
