MIDLAND, Mich. — Zach Willeman struck out five over four innings of work, a third of the 15 strikeouts dealt by pitchers for the Great Lakes Loons (Single-A) on Saturday in a 2-1 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps.

Willeman, a Napoleon product, allowed one run and three hits over four innings, striking out five while walking one. The former Wildcat and current Dodgers’ prospect is 0-1 with a save in eight appearances and five starts for the Loons with 21 strikeouts and a 5.97 ERA in 28.2 innings of work.
