HICKSVILLE — Kent “Potsey” Yontz, 63, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kent was born August 16, 1955, to the late Wilbur and Vyrle (Hinsch) Yontz. In 1973, he graduated from Hicksville High School. Kent then began working at Dana Incorporated, where he later retired after 30 years of service. On September 27, 2014, Kent was united in marriage to Vonda Carver, and she survives.

Also surviving Kent are a daughter, Jo (Chris) Banks; grandchildren, Carson and Olivia; siblings, Charlene “Sam” (Rocky) Arnold and Keith (Jan) Yontz; nephews, Kyle and Cameron; and niece, Krystal.

“Potsey” was a member of the Hicksville Eagles and the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and a social member of the American Legion.

Visitation for Kent will be held Monday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville.
