Dolores Sponsler, 89, Defiance, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2019.
Dolores was born in Deerfield, Ohio, to the late George and Mildred (Moore) Anderson. She married the love of her life, Howard Sponsler, in 1957, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1979. Dolores is survived by her children, Gina Fernbaugh of Bowling Green and William Sponsler of Defiance; grandchildren, Joshua Herr of Cypress, Calif., and William (Kara) Herr; and great-grandson, Thayer Herr of Boston, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Alberta (Ed) Barrious; and her close friend, Nancy Porter.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Beggs; and her son-in-law, John Fernbaugh.
Dolores enjoyed traveling with Gina and John, and loved reading, sewing, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and spending time with family, especially her great-grandson, Thayer.
A private family gathering will be held and her arrangements have been entrusted with the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
