BRYAN — Reverend Dawn R. Braun, 66, of Bryan, Ohio, went to her heavenly home, surrounded by her family, at 5:28 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, after an extended illness. Reverend Braun was a 1970 graduate of Fairview High School and received her degree in biblical studies from Vision Bible College. In her ministry she was very creative in many ways, such as serving as a jail chaplain, teaching sign language, creating a puppet team and clowning for 15 years with her husband, and as a mime, all of which enhanced their ministry team. Even in retirement they continued their ministry throughout the area. She was a member of Restoration Church in Defiance, Ohio, and was a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and enjoyed looking for bargains at flea markets, antiquing, and making jewelry.
Dawn Rose Braun was born on January 6, 1952, in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of Bernard and Gertrude (Grimm) French. She married Albert C. Braun on June 27, 1970, in Prattville, Michigan, and he survives.
