Demolition work on the Clinton Street bridge across the Maumee River is proceeding at a steady pace. The approximate nine-month project is under the supervision of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Crews have removed portions of the span and at least one pier to date. City officials, law enforcement and one eastside church (left) are urging patience during this time, as motorists get used to the detour options. Second Baptist Church on East Second Street, near Domersville Road, posted a “Lord Give Me Patience” sign in front of its building. That intersection — one of the detour routes— has caused several delays, especially at the end of the work day.
