RIDGEVILLE CORNERS — Four individuals were injured following a two-vehicle accident east of here on Saturday.
According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, at U.S. 6 and Ohio 34, a vehicle driven by Jack Higgins, 16, Perrysburg, was eastbound on Ohio 34, stopped at the sign at U.S. 6 and pulled into the intersection and path of a westbound vehicle driven by Gregory Michael, 50, Ligonier, Ind.
Higgin's vehicle came to a stop in the roadway, while Michael's vehicle left the roadway, went across a surface ditch and struck several trees and bushes.
Higgins and his passenger, Ashton Borgelt, 16, Perrysburg, were taken by Archbold Rescue to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where conditions were unavailable. Michael and his passenger, Lori Michael, Ligonier, Ind., were taken by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital, where conditions were unavailable.
Damage to both vehicles was heavy.
