Demolition work is underway at Defiance’s Clinton Street bridge, which was closed down Monday morning. The approximate nine-month project is under the supervision of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), with the general contractor being Great Lakes Construction Co. of Hinckley.

The cost of the bridge replacement project is $8.3 million, with the majority being covered by ODOT. Here, crews work to remove the sidewalk and side rails.
