Chief Petty Officer (expeditionary/surface warfare) Paul Stallbaum was commissioned as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy as an administrative officer at SEAL Team FIVE. Stallbaum, of Oakwood, is an 11-year veteran having served as a Yeoman on USS Lassen DDG 82 in Yokosuka, Japan; Naval Station Rota, Spain; Defensive Contract Management Agency Southern Afghanistan; SEAL Team FIVE, Special Operations Task Force — West Iraq and the Central Command Crisis Response Element. His personal awards include the Joint Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) and various campaign medals. Stallbaum, son of Kenny “Silky” and Diana Stallbaum of Oakwood, was pinned by his wife of six years, Marilyn (Wilhelm) Stallbaum of Paulding. In June, he will report to VFA-195 in Iwakuni, Japan, as the administrative officer.
