BRYAN — The Wlliams County grand jury recently indicted 27 individuals on a variety of charges. Among those indicted were a Defiance man facing five charges including assault, which involved a police officer.

Lesley Quarles II, 39, 2 Miraval Lane, Defiance, was indicted on charges of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony; two counts of domestic violence, first-degree misdemeanors; disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony; and assault, a fourth-degree felony.

According to the indictment, Quarles allegedly broken into an occupied structure on South Beech Street in Bryan in order to inflict or threaten physical harm to another. He allegedly did or attempted to cause that physical harm, and allegedly prevented an individual from calling 911 with a mobile phone. In addition, it is alleged that Quarles caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a Bryan police officer.

Also indicted were:

• Dakota Swirles, 20, 302 W. Spring St., Fayette, aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony; and felonious assault, a second-degree felony. It is alleged that Swirles had a handgun during a theft or attempted theft and that he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to another.

• Richard Miller, 56, 310 S. Liberty St., West Unity, burglary, a second-degree felony. According to the indictment, Miller allegedly entered a structure on South Liberty Street in West Unity to commit a crime.

• Mark Mason, 45, 120 E. Court St., Montpelier, domestic violence, a third-degree felony; and violating a protection order. It is alleged that Mason caused or attempted to cause harm to to a family member after having previously been convicted of domestic violence, and that he allegedly violated a protection order.

• Stephen Munguia, 18, 400 Park St., Fayette, complicity to aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony; and felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Munguia allegedly aided and abetted an aggravated robbery and did cause or attempt to cause physical harm to another by means of a deadly weapon.

• Donovan Joyner, 21, 01371 Mull Road, Defiance, illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a fifth-degree felony; and illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance, a second-degree felony. It is alleged that Joyner did possess or view and photograph or produce material showing a minor or impaired person in a state or nudity.

• Tyler Baumgradner, 33, 211 Walnut St., Edon, tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. Baumgardner allegedly make or present falsehood to mislead a public official.

• Ashley Grond, 33, 16017 Scott Road, Bryan, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Grond allegedly did obtain, possess or use less than a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Jason Sheppard, 40, North Manchester, Ind., robbery, a second-degree felony. It is alleged that Sheppard attempted or committed a theft during which he attempted, threatened or inflicted physical harm to another.

• Sharvelle Burns, 26, Yondota, Toledo, failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Burns allegedly failed to appear as required by the court.

• Michael March, 33, 105 E. South Depot St., Stryker, two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, fourth-degree felonies; grand theft, a third-degree felony; and having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony. It is alleged that March deprived the owners of a 1996 Ford Explorer, 2016 GMC Sierra, a handgun, rifle and shotgun of their property. It also is alleged that he acquired or had firearms while being previously convicted of a felony.

• Cameron Butler, 34, 1001 Sunday St., Defiance, vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Butler caused harm to glass windows in a cell at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.

• Garrison Moses, 20, 353 Seneca Drive, Montpelier, harassment by inmate, a fifth-degree felony. Moses allegedly expelled urine upon a corrections officer.

• Jennipher Fisher, 42, 1108 S. Delaware St., Montpelier, failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. It is alleged that Fisher failed to appear in court as ordered.

• Nickolus Toepfer, 31, Kokomo, Ind., robbery, a second-degree felony. Toepfer allegedly attempted to commit a theft and in the commission or afterward attempted, inflicted or threatened physical harm to another.

• Nathan Dalton, 40, 08175 Ohio 15, Bryan, failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Dalton allegedly failed to appear in court as ordered.

• Jon Helton, 42, Hillsdale, Mich., vandalism, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Helton caused damage to a rear fender of a Williams County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.

• Roxanne Rupp, 36, 22141 County Road F.50, Stryker, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Rupp did obtain, possess or use less than a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Braden Whitlock, 21, 215 W. Church St., Stryker, counterfeiting, a fourth-degree felony. Whitlock allegedly tried to pass, sell or transfer a false $100 bill.

• Ashley Zimmer, 30, 203 Elm St., Stryker, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Zimmer allegedly did obtain, possess or use less than a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Heather Nordness, 25, 114 E. Jackson St., Grover Hill, failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. It is alleged that Nordness failed to appear as required by the court.

• Crystal Conforti, 30, 429 E. Wilson St., Bryan, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Conforti obtained, possessed or used less than a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Daniel Pupos, 39, Morenci, Mich., domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Pupos allegedly caused or attempted to cause harm to a family or household member after having previously been found or pleading guilty to domestic violence.

• Michael Vasko, 36, 63 Hawthorne Drive, Archbold, grand theft, a fourth-degree felony; and forgery, a fourth-degree felony. It is alleged that Vasko deprived the owner of a Montpelier business $86,490.36 and allegedly forge checks from the business in the same amount.

• Ashley Ramirez, 32, 05821 Moser Road, Defiance, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Ramirez allegedly did obtain, possess or use less than a bulk amount of methamphetamine.

• Samantha King, 28, 905 Latty St., Defiance, two counts of failure to appear, fourth-degree felonies. It is alleged that she failed to appear as required by the court twice.

• Kamey Kreais, 47, 304 E. Hamilton St., Bryan, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. It is alleged that Kreais did obtain possess or use less than a bulk amount of fentanyl or methamphetamine.
