BRYAN — A Michigan man charged with voluntary manslaughter appeared in Bryan Municipal Court Friday morning.
Ryan Dangerfield, 38, Reading, Mich., who was extradited from Hillsdale, Mich., appeared on a felony charge in connection with the June 23 stabbing death of Dylan Bible, 23, Bryan, at Colonial Manor Motel, 924 E. High St., Bryan.
On the charge of voluntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony, bond was set at $2 million, with no 10% cash allowance.
The case will be assigned for a preliminary hearing.
There were also several other misdemeanor traffic charges in connection with a May 10 incident. He pleaded guilty on the following charges: no motorcycle endorsement, speed, rules for a motorcycle and expired tags, and was fined a total of $325.
Numerous charges in Hillsdale were dropped, allowing Dangerfield to be extradited to Williams County this week. Those charges were aggravated assault and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, both misdemeanors; and two counts of assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer, both felonies.
