State Patrol

Wednesday, 11:15 a.m., on Openlander Road, north of Blosser Road, a vehicle driven by Matthew Ayers, 38, Sherwood, struck a guardrail and overturned. Ayers was not injured. He was cited for failure to control. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Defiance Sheriff

Sunday, 9 p.m., on Hire Road, south of Ohio 281, Defiance Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Lucius Ridgeway, 39, 1500 Baltimore Road, slid off the east side of the roadway, down a slight embankment, and struck a mailbox owned by Terry Willitzer and a cable box owned by Ayersville Communications. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to the vehicle. Ridgeway was cited for failure to control.

Tuesday, 12:32 a.m., on County Road 424 near Limbaugh Road, Delaware Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Michael Apthorpe, 21, 10628 Jacobs Trail Road, struck the rear of an eastbound vehicle driven by Tyler Carr, 20, 729 Kentner St., after Carr's vehicle slowed to a stop. No injuries were reported. Damage was heavy to Carr's vehicle and moderate to Apthorpe's. Apthorpe was cited for assured clear distance.

Tuesday, 2:04 a.m., on Defiance-Henry County Line Road, north of Coressel Road, Adams Township, a vehicle driven by Isaiah Meyers-Colon, 22, Napoleon, reportedly went out of control on the icy road and struck a tile culvert. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. Meyers-Colon was cited for failure to control. 

Tuesday, 7:43 a.m., on Ohio 18, west of Casebeer Miller Road, Hicksville Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Jared Miller, 23, Hicksville, slid off the right side of the road and into a ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to the vehicle. Miller was cited for failure to control. 

Tuesday, 1:03 p.m., Stacy Shomski, 38, Defiance, was arrested on a parole violation.

Tuesday, 10:47 p.m., on County Road 134, north of County Road 424, a southbound vehicle driven by Heather Huebner, 31, Sherwood, traveled off the east side of the roadway and struck a tree, coming to rest in a field. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. Huebner was cited for failure to control. 

Wednesday, 6:03 a.m, Damien Bremmer, 25, Defiance, was served three warrants from Defiance Common Pleas Court. 

Defiance Police

Wednesday, 1:31 p.m., a 16-year-old Defiance female was charged with delinquency by means of disorderly conduct after an alleged incident at Defiance High School, 1755 Palmer Drive.

Henry Sheriff

Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., on County Road V, a car driven by Amontrion Watkins, 25, Neapolis, slid off the road and came to rest in a field. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

Napoleon Police

Wednesday, 5:38 a.m., Shane VonDeylen, 39, Napoleon, was cited for expired plates following a traffic stop on Independence Drive.

Wednesday, 4:23 p.m., Brandy Roberts, 39, Wauseon, was arrested on a warrant from Fulton County.

Defiance 

Fire — Wednesday, 5:34 a.m., firefighters were called to an alarm at 111 W. High St.

Fire — Wednesday, 2:27 p.m., firefighters responded to Defiance County East, 1300 E. Second St., for an activated fire alarm.
