Defiance Sheriff

Sunday, 10:10 p.m., on Moser Road, south of Adams Township Road 99, a northbound vehicle driven by Leslie Etchison, 37, 28226 Jewell Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Monday, 8:49 a.m., on County Road 424 near Overly Road, Richland Township, an eastbound motorcycle driven by James Wagner, 39, 903 Jackson Ave., reportedly slid on gravel and traveled off the right side of the roadway. Wagner was taken to Mercy Defiance Hospital for minor injuries. Damage was moderate to the motorcycle. Wagner was cited for failure to control.

Monday, 4:49 p.m., on U.S. 24, east of County Road 68, Defiance Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Shannon McDougle, 39, Napoleon, struck debris in the roadway causing light damage to the vehicle.

Tuesday, 5:35 a.m., on Ohio 15, north of Stever Road, Noble Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Deborah Peoples, 54, 1525 Mayo Drive, struck and killed a dog, causing light damage to the vehicle. The dog's owner was located.

Tuesday, 11:55 a.m., on the U.S. 24 off-ramp to Ohio 66, in the city of Defiance, a semi driven by Enrique Rodriguez, 37, Holt, Mich., struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Francis Melchor, 69, 1950 Colwell Circle, while Melchor was stopped at a red light. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Rodriguez was cited for assured clear distance.

Wednesday, 10:23 a.m., Marvin White, 40, Toledo, was served a bench warrant from Defiance Common Pleas Court.

Wednesday, 8:09 a.m., vandalism was reported in the 500 block of Ravine Avenue.

Tuesday, 2:23 p.m., at Ohio 65 and Railroad Street in McClure, a vehicle driven by Larry Bahler, 64, McClure, pulled into the intersection and struck a vehicle driven by Miguel Gonzalez, 61, Napoleon. Damage was light to the vehicles.

Tuesday, 11:32 p.m., David Isaacs II, 53, Wauseon, was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop at Independence Drive and Oakwood Avenue.

Fire — Wednesday, 5:35 p.m., firefighters were called to a brush fire at 326 Rulf St.
