Defiance Sheriff

Monday, 5:33 p.m., on County Road 424, west of County Road 146, Defiance Township, a vehicle driven by Craig Rau, 37, 621 Sierra Way, traveled off the north side of the roadway and into a ditch. No injuries or vehicle damage were reported. Rau was cited for failure to control.

Friday, 4:40 a.m., Julio Munoz IV, 31, Toledo, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Juvenile Court.

Friday, 12:25 p.m., vandalism was reported in the area of Wonderly and Blosser roads.

Saturday, 12:16 a.m., Brandon Peglow, 23, 28986 Mansfield Road, was charged with assault, aggravated menacing, criminal damaging, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct while intoxicated following an alleged incident at Miami and Erie Lounge, 406 Clinton St.

Saturday, 1:19 a.m., Sarah Dombroff, 37, 881 Circle Drive, was charged with being in physical control of a vehicle while under the influence following an alleged incident on South Clinton Street.

Saturday, 11:32 a.m., Toni Ross, 27, East St. Louis, Mo., was arrested on a Defiance Common Pleas Court warrant.

Friday, 1:32 a.m., at Ohio 34 and County Road U, Ridgeville Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Samuel Suarez, 40, Archbold, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a surface ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to the vehicle. Suarez was cited for OVI. 

Saturday, 4:24 a.m., on U.S. 24, at County Road 17, an eastbound vehicle driven by Emma Sierra, 23, Napoleon, struck a deer. Damage was minor to the vehicle.

Saturday, 12:16 a.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop at Railway Avenue and North Squire St. in Holgate. Todd Warncke, 55, Defiance, was charged with OVI and no turn signal.

Saturday, 4:25 a.m., deputies initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 24, at County Road 17. Jason Myers, 26, Perrysburg, was charged with OVI and a marked lane violation.

Saturday, 3:54 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch in the 800 block of County Road 18, Napoleon. Edward Altaffer, 49, Napoleon, was charged with improper starting and backing.

Friday, 2:46 p.m., a juvenile was charged with delinquency by means of aggravated menacing and disorderly conduct following an incident in the 900 block of Washington Avenue.

Friday, 7:04 p.m., a theft was reported at Napoleon Party Mart, 330 S. Perry St.

Saturday, 12:50 a.m., a theft was reported at Lassus BP, 1201 Scott St.

Fire — Friday, 4:07 a.m., firefighters responded to an alarm at Northtowne Mall, 1500 N. Clinton Street.

Fire — Saturday, 6:27 p.m., firefighters responded to a false alarm at Ranchland Village Motor Inn, 1983 S. Jefferson Ave.

Fire — Friday, 1:05 p.m., firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at Ohio 15 and Holly Road.
