Defiance Sheriff

Tuesday, Nov. 27, 12:56 p.m., on Ohio 2, north of Scott Road, Farmer Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Bret Dunlap, 50, Fort Wayne, Ind., struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Thursday, 6:55 a.m., on Harris Road, south of Defiance-Ayersville Pleasant Bend Road, Highland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Kimberly Foster, 28, Columbus Grove, was struck by a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Friday, 11:25 a.m., on Carpenter Road, south of Flory Road, Richland Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Jessica Stykemain, 27, 1317 Hilton Head Court, traveled off the left side of the roadway and stuck a utility pole after the power steering reportedly failed. No injuries were reported and damage was light to the vehicle.

Saturday, 12:04 a.m., on U.S. 127, north of Blair Road, Delaware Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Noah Wolfrum, 21, Bryan, struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was heavy to the vehicle. Assisting at the scene was Delaware Township Fire Department. 

Saturday, 6:28 p.m., in the 07000 block of Ohio 15, Tiffin Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Alyssa Shinabery, 33, Bryan, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Sunday, 2:36 a.m., Charles M. Martinez Jr., 31, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

Monday, 7:57 a.m., on Ohio 66, south of Mekus Road, Tiffin Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Oneal Clemens, 72, Stryker, was struck by a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

Saturday, 10:58 a.m., on North Clinton Street, north of Stadium Drive, a southbound vehicle driven by Brenda Depinet, 39, Fayette, began to change lanes and stuck the passenger side of a southbound vehicle driven by George Laker, 69, Bryan. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Depinet was cited for continuous lanes of travel. 

Saturday, 11:12 a.m., a shoplifting complaint was reported at Walmart, 1804 N. Clinton St.

Saturday, 12:41 p.m., on Clinton Street, south of First Street, a northbound vehicle driven by Heidi Brinkman, 45, 2130 Royal Oak Ave., struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by David Stecher, 32, 29274 Ayersville-Pleasant Bend Road. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Brinkman was cited for assured clear distance.

Monday, 11:27 a.m., a counterfeit $20 bill was reported at Taco Bell, 1902 E. Second St.

Friday, 6:44 p.m., on County Road 8, a vehicle driven by Ronald Kistler, 65, Liberty Center, left the roadway and struck a ditch. Kistler was cited for OVI. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Friday, 9:02 p.m., a television was reported stolen from the 200 block of West Cherry Street, Liberty Center.

Saturday, 9:19 a.m., on County Road T, a semi driven by Aqil Ghanim, 50, Dearborn, Mich., struck the railroad bridge overpass. He was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. Damage was moderate to the semi.

Saturday, 3 p.m., on U.S. 24, a vehicle driven by Michael Baldwin, 32, Defiance, struck a fence and ditch. He was cited for OVI, OVI refusal, failure to control, license suspension and possession of drugs. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

Saturday, 8:31 p.m., on County Road R, a vehicle driven by Megan Blake, 20, 21819 Defiance-Paulding County Line, Defiance, struck a deer. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Monday, 7:51 a.m., at county roads 19 and U, Freedom Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Patricia Miller, 56, Napoleon, traveled through the stop sign and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Timothy Bowers, 52, Napoleon. Miller was taken by Ridgeville Township Rescue to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital, where a condition update was unavailable. Damage was heavy to both vehicles.

Monday, 9:52 a.m., Rebecca Krueger, 25, Napoleon, was arrested on a Fulton County warrant and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), Stryker.

Friday, 5:35 a.m., on Oakwood Avenue, a vehicle driven by Timothy Groll, 61, Napoleon, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Sunday, 2:23 a.m., Tyler Keifer, 27, Fayette, was cited for OVI, failure to obey a traffic control device and improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle following a traffic stop on West Clinton Street. His passenger, Amanda Milligan, 32, Delta, also was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a vehicle and open container.

Sunday, 4:06 a.m., an assault was reported in the 600 block of North Perry Street.

Sunday, 10:20 a.m., a theft was reported in the 100 block of East Clinton Street.

Sunday, 5:23 p.m., Michael Moden, 55, Napoleon, was charged with disorderly conduct after an alleged incident in the 1400 block of Scott Street.

Sunday, 6:14 p.m., Martin Kinder, 56, New Bavaria, was cited for assured clear distance following a traffic accident in the 1400 block of Scott Street.

Monday, 7:01 p.m., Jacob Fisher, 27, Napoleon, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Westmoreland Avenue.

Fire — Sunday, 10:10 p.m., firefighters were called to a carbon monoxide alarm at 1283 Bearpaw Drive.

Fire — Monday, 8:45 a.m., firefighters were called to a carbon monoxide alarm at 07509 Stever Road.

Wauseon

Fire — Saturday, 10:11 a.m., firefighters were called to 1285 N. Shoop Ave. for a report of a possible explosive device that turned out to be a fake.

Fire — Sunday, 4:25 p.m., firefighters were called to an alarm at 723 S. Shoop Ave.
