State Patrol

Monday, 3:45 a.m., on U.S. 24 in Defiance County's Defiance Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Glenn Hamby, 43, Indianapolis, struck a deer. Hamby was taken by Paulding County EMS to the Paulding County Hospital for possible injuries. Damage was heavy to the vehicle. Hamby was cited for driving without a valid license. 

Tuesday, 5:51 a.m., on Ohio 39 in Williams County's Northwest Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Kellie Harding, 50, Edon, struck a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

June 10, 4:52 p.m., on County Road 424, west of County Road 146, Defiance Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Darrell Fisher, 29, Fort Wayne, traveled off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch, causing damage to a yard. No injuries or vehicle damage were reported. Fisher was cited for failure to control.

June 10, 9:38 p.m., on Ashpacher Road, north of Ohio 18, Defiance Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Jennifer Willits, 40, 20416 Schick Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

June 11, 11:35 p.m., on Ohio 18, west of Farmer-Mark Road, Mark Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Mary Runk, 64, 17762 Ohio 18, struck a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

June 12, 10:08 a.m., on Trinity Road, north of Ohio 18, Noble Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Julie Hammons, 58, 08539 Trinity Road, struck a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

June 12, 4:07 p.m., on Domersville Road, south of U.S. 24, Richland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Briana Jones, 25, Bowling Green, struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Vicki Woods, 53, McClure, which in turn struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Kimberly Egler, 32, 05934 Trinity Road. Jones and four passengers, Kristen Killion, 17; Lillian Killion, 13; and Noah Jones, 5, all of Bowling Green; and Arellia Gonzales, 11, 913 Washington Ave., were taken by South Richland EMS to ProMedica Defiance Regional Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Damage was heavy to the Woods and Jones vehicles, and moderate to Egler's. Jones was cited for assured clear distance.

Thursday, 6:05 p.m., on Domersville Road, north of Ohio 281, Richland Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Jerry Shaffer, 66, Grover Hill, struck the rear of a southbound vehicle driven by Nancy Gray, 60, 1131 Ayersville Ave. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Shaffer was cited for assured clear distance.

Thursday, 8:36 p.m., on County Road 424, west of Richland Township Road 176, an eastbound vehicle driven by Sonia Campos, 39, 421 Seneca St., reportedly swerved to miss a deer and struck a guardrail on the north side of the road. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. Campos was cited for failure to control.

Thursday, 11:04 p.m., on Ohio 15 near Ashpacher Road, Noble Township, a northwest-bound vehicle driven by Tracey Backhaus, 53, 08512 Ashpacher Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Friday, 7:47 a.m., on County Road 424 near Independence Road, Richland Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Dean Bohn, 54, 22000 Switzer Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Friday, 10:53 a.m., at Ohio 281 and Defiance-Henry County Line Road, Richland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Jeffrey Summers, 55, Walbridge, reportedly turned into the path of an eastbound motorcycle ridden by James Rowe, 57, 05566 Domersville Road, causing Rowe to swerve and lose control of the bike, which slid through the intersection on its side. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to the motorcycle. No damage was reported to Summers' vehicle. Summers was cited for failure to yield.

Saturday, 1:36 a.m., on Ohio 249, west of U.S. 127, Washington Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Weston Walters, 32, 09325 Cicero Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Monday, 5:16 p.m., deputies investigated an attempted break-in in the 15000 block of Motter Road, Ney. Nothing was reportedly taken

Tuesday, 10:14 a.m., Samantha King, 28, Defiance, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

Monday, 9:55 p.m., a shoplifting complaint was reported at Walmart, 1804 N. Clinton St.

Tuesday, 12:58 p.m., a pool was reported vandalized in the 800 block of Jackson Avenue.

Napoleon Police

Monday, 3:56 p.m., a theft was reported at Walmart, 1815 Scott St., and is under investigation.

Monday, 6:17 p.m., Scott Michael, 41, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), rural Stryker. He is charged with aggravated menacing.

Tuesday, 2:10 a.m., Ami Trumbull, 46, Oregon, was served three warrants for failure to appear.

Fire — Tuesday, 4:15 p.m., firefighters were called to an outdoor fire at 10196 County Road 14.
