Sunday, 8:30 a.m., on Defiance-Paulding County Line Road, north of Holly Road, Highland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Ethan Scherrer, 20, Birmingham, Mich., traveled off the right side of the road, down an embankment and struck a tree. Scherrer was taken by Delaware Township EMS to Mercy Defiance Hospital, where a condition update was unavailable. Damage was heavy to the vehicle. Scherrer was cited for assured clear distance.

Saturday, 2:10 a.m., Nicole Dobson, 21, Defiance, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance Municipal Court.

Saturday, 2:10 a.m., Sydneesha Shavon-Thompson, 26, Toledo, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

Saturday, 1:12 p.m., an assault was reported on Breininger Road and is under investigation.

Saturday, 6:18 p.m., on The Bend Road, south of Defiance-Williams County Line Road, Washington Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Michael Corwin, 65, Bryan, was struck by a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

Saturday, 9:03 p.m., on Ohio 66, north of Banner School Road, Tiffin Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Colin Dallas, 24, Archbold, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Sunday, 3:49 p.m., Jodey Thompson, 35, 29754 Defiance-Ayersville-Pleasant Bend Road, was charged with domestic violence after an alleged incident at the residence and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), rural Stryker.

Monday, 6 a.m., John Villarreal, 39, Defiance, was charged with domestic violence by menacing after an alleged incident and taken to CCNO.

Monday, 6:23 a.m., Roxanne Rupp, 35, Stryker, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Probate and Juvenile Court.

Saturday, 1:41 p.m., a theft was reported at JCPenney, 1500 N. Clinton St.

Saturday, 2:55 p.m., the theft of a cellphone was reported in the 800 block of Webster Street.

Saturday, 6:10 p.m., at South Clinton and First streets, a southbound vehicle driven by Stacy Ussery, 38, 23972 Biderwell Road, struck the driver’s-side mirror of a parked vehicle owned by John Rucker, Lebanon. Damage to both vehicles’ mirrors was light.

Saturday, 6:58 p.m., Courtney Bartley, 24, 1001 Sunday St., was charged with theft following an alleged incident at Walmart, 1804 N. Clinton St.

Saturday, 10:22 p.m., Diane McKalvia, 44, 1144 Grove St., was arrested on a warrant from Defiance Municipal Court and taken to CCNO.

Saturday, 10:39 p.m., a firearm was reported stolen from the 1400 block of Pinehurst Drive.

Sunday, 12:19 a.m., Austin Straub, 28, 1000 Ralston Ave., was charged with driving an unsafe motor vehicle, driving on a sidewalk, OVI and speeding following a traffic stop on Webster Street near Grand Avenue.

Sunday, 7:26 p.m., a shoplifting complaint was reported at Walmart, 1804 N. Clinton St.

Sunday, 8:04 p.m., the theft of a wallet was reported in the 1000 block of North Clinton Street.

Sunday, 9:55 a.m., on North Clinton Street, north of Elliott Road, a vehicle driven by Gregory Hill, 59, Oakwood, began to exit the Menards’ parking lot and collided with a northbound vehicle driven by Marco Cervantes, 41, 1044 Harrison Ave. No injuries were reported. Damage was heavy to both vehicles. Hill was cited for failure to yield.

Sunday, 2:11 p.m., Natalie Babcock, 26, 435 Pontiac Drive, was charged with disorderly conduct following an alleged incident at the residence. She was taken to CCNO.

Sunday, 3:55 p.m., on North Clinton Street, south of West Sessions Avenue, a northbound vehicle driven by Alexis Varga, 16, 511 Defiance Crossing, reportedly cut in front of a northbound vehicle driven by Isabel Elias, 24, 640 Tiedeman Ave., causing Elias’ vehicle to strike the rear of Varga’s. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Varga was cited for no turn signal.

Monday, 11:55 a.m., a theft was reported in the 600 block of Wayne Avenue.

Monday, 1:46 p.m., a trees and a fence were reported damaged in the 800 block of Jackson Avenue.

Monday, 1:58 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen in the 800 block of Webster Street.

Monday, 8:07 p.m., a sex offense was reported on Pontiac Drive and is under investigation.

Friday, 7:52 p.m., at U.S. 24 and County Road 17, a vehicle driven by Louis Ricica, 58, 28524 Behrens Road, Defiance, pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Star Moody, 41, 1585 Terrawenda Drive, causing a collision. Moody and her passenger, Keviauna Grierportundo, 16, Toledo, were taken by Napoleon Rescue to Mercy Defiance Hospital, where condition updates were unavailable. Ricica was cited for OVI. Damage was heavy to the vehicles.

Saturday, 5:44 p.m., on County Road 424, a vehicle driven by Timothy Thayer, 54, Napoleon, was struck by a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Saturday, 7:29 p.m., on U.S. 6, a vehicle driven by Katie Shepard, 24, McClure, was struck by a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Saturday, 2:15 a.m., Amanda Ruger, 30, Paulding, was arrested on a warrant from Napoleon Municipal Court and taken to CCNO.

Saturday, 5:33 p.m., a theft was reported in the 300 block of Short Street.

Saturday, 11:15 p.m., Dustin Tanner, 24, Wauseon, was charged with domestic violence after an alleged incident in the 300 block of Independence Drive and taken to CCNO.

Sunday, 12:17 a.m., Kayla Hahn, 20, Lyons, was arrested on a two warrants.

Sunday, 4:06 p.m., Matthew Urban, 34, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Fulton County.

Sunday, 7:14 p.m., Antonio Hernandez, 41, Rudolph, was charged with disorderly conduct after an alleged incident.

Monday, 6:49 a.m., on Ohio 110, a vehicle driven by Garrett Madden, 22, Monroe, Mich., struck a deer. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Monday afternoon, Jamie Vanzandt, 46, Deshler, turned himself in on a warrant for breaking and entering and theft and was taken to CCNO.

Monday, 6:32 p.m., on County Road V, a vehicle driven by Chelsea Howe, 33, Liberty Center, struck a deer. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Fire — Monday, 11:46 a.m., firefighters were called to a smoke alarm at 07663 Stever Road.

Antwerp

Fire — Saturday, 1:36 a.m., firefighters were called to a barn fire at 02621 County Road 144. Providing mutual aid were Payne and Crane Township-Cecil fire departments.

Auglaize Township

Fire — Saturday, 6:26 p.m., firefighters were called to a car fire at 18095 County Road 111.
