Defiance Sheriff

April 27, 9:08 a.m., on Farmer-Mark Road, south of Ohio 249, Farmer Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Beverly Trowbridge, 23, Mark Center, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

April 29, 12:30 p.m., on Ohio 281, south of U.S. 24, Richland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Alysa Simpson, 24, 166 Cleveland Ave., struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Timothy Jones, 41, Van Wert. Damage was light to both vehicles. Simpson was cited for assured clear distance.

April 30, 8:03 a.m., on Domersville Road, north of Banner School Road, Defiance Township, a vehicle driven by Tammy Fedele, 51, 23568 Breckler Road, began a left turn from the Tinora High School parking lot and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Daryl Neff, 49, 02099 Domersville Road. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Fedele was cited for failure to yield.

Friday, 7:52 a.m., at Fullmer Road and Defiance-Ayersville-Pleasant Bend Road, Highland Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Karson Hummel, 18, 1988 Riverview Drive, began a left turn and collided with a westbound vehicle driven by Kari Powers-Klinger, 36, Defiance. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Hummel was cited for a failure to yield.

Saturday, 6:30 a.m., on Domersville Road, north of Elliott Road, Adams Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Mary Geiger, 70, 23865 Watson Road, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Sunday, 5:02 a.m., on Ohio 18, west of U.S. 127, Sherwood, a westbound vehicle driven by Hunter Kenner, 16, Hicksville, traveled off the right side of the roadway, through a ditch and private yard, before coming to rest in a field. No injuries were reported. Damage was heavy to the vehicle. Kenner was cited for failure to control.

Sunday, 10:34 a.m., on Ohio 15 at Deerwood Drive, Noble Township, a westbound vehicle driven by John Hanenkratt, 76, 847 Jefferson Ave., struck a westbound vehicle driven by Kristen Deniston, 52, 1435 Deerfoot Drive. Damage was moderate to Deniston's vehicle and heavy to Hanenkratt's. Hanenkratt was cited for assured clear distance.

Monday, 6:13 a.m., on Domersville Road, north of County Road 70, Defiance Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Breeanna Adams, 28, 638 Wayne Ave., struck a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

Monday, 6:39 p.m., in the 15000 block of Highland Center Road, Highland Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Harold Sprow, 74, 13352 Fruit Ridge Road, was struck by a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Tuesday, 6:08 a.m., on Ohio 15, east of Schick Road, Tiffin Township, a northwest-bound vehicle driven by Susan Clinger, 60, 1537 Riverbend Drive, struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

Wednesday, 6:01 a.m., Crystal Oskey, 42, Bryan, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

Saturday, 1:25 p.m., at West Third Street and Jefferson Avenue, a northbound vehicle driven by Stephanie Lammers, 41, 235 W. Pinewood Drive, and an eastbound vehicle driven by Thaddeus Drees, 16, 29432 Ohio 18, collided in the intersection. Drees' passenger Zora Drees, 13, 605 Ralston Ave., was treated at the scene for suspected minor injuries. Damage was heavy to Drees' vehicle and light to Lammers'. Drees was cited for a stop sign violation.

Wednesday, 6:28 a.m., officers investigated a possible burglary in the 600 block of Ravine Avenue.

Wednesday, 8:25 a.m., a vehicle was reportedly vandalized with spraypaint in the 300 block of Hopkins Street.

Wednesday, 10:02 a.m., a theft was reported at Menards, 08845 Ohio 66.

Wednesday, 12:59 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen in the 1700 block of Upton Street.

Wednesday, 2:50 p.m., Kyle McCabe, 28, Napoleon, was served a bench warrant from Defiance Municipal Court while at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), Stryker.

Wednesday, 1:30 a.m., Matthew Wiemken, 29, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Fulton County.

Wednesday, 2:14 p.m., on County Road 7, a vehicle driven by Christina Benson, 37, Millbury, struck a deer. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Wednesday, 11:14 a.m., Amanda Garcia, 27, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Fulton County.

Friday, 1:37 a.m., telephone harassment was reported in the 800 block of West Elm Street.

Saturday, 11:46 p.m., a possible burglary was reported in the 700 block of Fairway Drive.

Fire — Wednesday, 7:48 a.m., firefighters were called to a fire involving a farming sprayer at Jewell and Egler roads.
