State Patrol

Friday, 9:24 p.m., on Ohio 49 in Williams County's Florence Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Jenna Gerken, 32, Antwerp, struck a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. 

Defiance Police

Thursday, 4:24 p.m., on Atlantic Street, south of Baltimore Road, a northbound vehicle driven by Margaret Stickan, 69, Napoleon, struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Donna Diaz-Long, 60, 700 Kiser Road. Diaz-Long was taken by the Defiance Fire Department to Mercy Defiance Hospital for suspected minor injuries. A condition update was unavailable. Damage was light to both vehicles. Stickan was cited for assured clear distance. 

Monday, 7:04 a.m., a fence and mailbox were reportedly damaged by a vehicle in the 900 block of Greenbriar Lane.

Monday, 3:46 p.m., grass was reportedly damaged by an ATV in the 500 block of Pontiac Drive.  

Tuesday, 8:36 p.m., Andres Martinez, 34, 631 Jackson Ave., was cited for driving under suspension following a traffic stop on Kiser Road. He also was picked up on a warrant from Defiance Municipal Court.

Today, 12:32 a.m., Matthew Ryan, 57, 1746 Greenhouse Ave., was arrested on a warrant from Napoleon Municipal Court, assisting the Henry County Sheriff's Office. The warrant involved a charge of inducing panic after he allegedly threatened employees at North American Stamping Group, 19911 County Road T, Ridgeville Corners. He was taken to CCNO.

Henry Sheriff

Monday, 9:40 a.m., Theresa Wulff, 38, McClure, was cited for passing a school bus following a traffic stop in the 3-700 block of U.S. 6, McClure. 

Tuesday, 10:41 a.m., on County Road 24, north of U.S. 6, Ridgeville Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Tasha Grieser, 29, Archbold, reportedly reversed after stopping at a stop sign and struck the front of a southbound dump truck driven by Kyle Helmke, 37, Napoleon. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to Grieser's vehicle, and no damage was reported to the dump truck. 

Today, 2:41 a.m., Raziel Guerrero, 26, Napoleon, was arrested following a pursuit that began on North Turkeyfoot Street, Malinta. Felony charges are pending. He was taken to CCNO. Additional information was unavailable at press time.

Monday, 11:29 p.m., Ricardo Saldivar, 48, Napoleon, was served a citation for OVI. 

Tuesday, 1:59 p.m., Mike Casarez, 26, Defiance, was cited for speed and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the area of Hurst Drive and Jahns Road. 

Tuesday, 3:48 p.m., Nicholas Krontz, 28, Napoleon, was arrested on warrants from the Henry and Defiance county sheriff's offices and the Napoleon Police Department. 

Tuesday, 7:47 p.m., Roger McCorkle, 28, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Williams County and taken to CCNO.

Tuesday, 10:50 p.m., Kurtis Jones, 30, Napoleon, was arrested on a warrant from Defiance County.

• Fires 


Fire — Today, 4:44 a.m., firefighters were called to a fully-engulfed garage fire at 221 E. Barnes Ave. The fire spread to a vehicle and a neighboring garage. Providing mutual aid was Ridgeville Township Fire Department. According to the Henry County auditor's website, the property is owned by Grant Adkins.


Fire — Tuesday, 7:24 p.m., firefighters were called to an alarm at 303 W. Leggett St.


Fire — Tuesday, 12:42 p.m., firefighters were called to Ohio 111 and County Road 133 for a report of smoke coming from a silo. Providing mutual aid were Crane Township-Cecil and Auglaize Township fire departments.
