Defiance Sheriff

June 26, 8:51 a.m., on Ohio 2, near Blosser Road, Farmer Township, a northbound motorcycle driven by Johnathan Butler, 24, Hicksville, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert. Butler was taken by Hicksville EMS to Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, and later transported to a Fort Wayne hospital for suspected serious injuries. Damage was heavy to the motorcycle. Butler was cited for failure to control. 

June 30, 11:32 p.m., on Evansport Road, south of Banner School Road, Tiffin Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Dillon Cereghin, 28, 207 Hilton St., struck a deer. Damage was light to the vehicle.

July 2, 3:56 p.m., on Ohio 281, east of Second Street, Richland Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Krystle Coressel, 30, 700 Kiser Road, struck the rear of a southbound vehicle driven by Holly Schilt, 43, Oakwood. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Coressel was cited for assured clear distance.

July 3, 2:09 p.m., on Ohio 66, near Banner School Road, Tiffin Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Andrew Layman, 23, Napoleon, turned left into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Misty Ankney, 40, Montpelier, and was struck. No injuries were reported. Damage was heavy to both vehicles. Layman was cited for failure to yield.

July 3, 10:19 p.m., on Buckskin Road, near Casebeer-Miller Road, Hicksville Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Pamela Lung, 60, Decatur, Ind., was struck by a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. 

July 3, 11:33 p.m., on Cicero Road, north of Seevers Road, Milford Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Charissa Miller, 44, Hicksville, struck a raccoon. Damage was moderate to the vehicle.

July 4, 12:36 p.m., on Christy Road, north of Breckler Road, Noble Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Sawyer Grimes, 17, Oakwood, turned left into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by James Blosser, 59, 06773 Christy Road, and the vehicles collided. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Grimes was cited for failure to yield. 

Friday, 10:50 p.m., on Scott Road, east of Wieland Road, Tiffin Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Mary Hurst, 63, 954 Standley Road, struck a deceased dog in the roadway. The dog's owner was located. Damage was heavy to the vehicle.

Saturday, 5:18 a.m., on Glenburg Road, north of Blosser Road, Washington Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Hunter Graziani, 24, Ney, was struck by a deer. Damage was moderate to the vehicle. 

Saturday, 4:38 p.m., on Farmer Mark Road, north of Fountain Street Road, Mark Township, a southbound vehicle driven by Edwin Carwile, 48, Dobson, N.C., struck a dog, causing moderate damage to the vehicle. 

Saturday, 10:34 p.m., on Defiance-Henry County Line Road, near Harper Road, Adams Township, an eastbound vehicle driven by Trinity Perry, 17, 318 West St., struck a deer. Damage was heavy to the vehicle. 

Saturday, 1:51 p.m., on Ohio 15, near Ashpacher Road, Noble Township, a northbound vehicle driven by Trevar Bechtol, 23, Bryan, struck the rear of a northbound vehicle driven by Joshua Burkholder, 41, 19331 Buckskin Road. No injuries were reported. Damage was moderate to both vehicles. Bechtol was cited for assured clear distance.

Monday, 11:58, Nikita Coleman, 31, Toledo, was served a bench warrant from Defiance Common Pleas Court. 

Wednesday, 1:51 p.m., a possible burglary was reported in the 100 block of North Harrison Street.

Defiance Police 

Sunday, 7:23 p.m., shoplifting was reported at Walmart, 1804 N. Clinton St. 

Friday, 2:08 p.m., in the 1800 block of North Clinton Street, a southbound vehicle driven by Brittan Bosco, 37, Archbold, struck the rear of a southbound vehicle driven by Terry Wolfrum, 39, 21425 Kammeyer Road. No injuries were reported. Damage was light to both vehicles. Bosco was cited for assured clear distance. 

Tuesday, 2:11 p.m., slashed vehicle tires were reported in the 1100 block of South Clinton Street.

Tuesday, 4 p.m., eggs were reportedly thrown on a vehicle in the 700 block of East Second Street.

Tuesday, 6:05 p.m., Sivad Davis, 32, Defiance, was arrested on a parole violation and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio (CCNO), rural Stryker. 

Henry Sheriff

Tuesday, noon, multiple vehicles reportedly were damaged by a sign in the roadway in the area of U.S. 24 and County Road 17D. 

Tuesday, 4:32 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a male dropping off cats on North Scott Street in Napoleon. 

Tuesday, 6:09 p.m., at U.S. 6 and County Road 24, Ridgeville Township, a westbound vehicle driven by Jefferson Smucker, 62, Archbold, struck the rear of a westbound vehicle driven by Amy Drees, 49, 29432 Ohio 18. Drees was taken by Ridgeville Fire and Rescue to Mercy Defiance Hospital for possible injuries. Damage was heavy to Smucker's vehicle and moderate to Drees'. Smucker was cited for assured clear distance.

Tuesday, 5:28 p.m., Seth Oberhaus, 28, Napoleon, was arrested in the 800 block of Sheffield Avenue on a failure-to-appear warrant.

Wauseon Police 

July 3, 7:55 p.m., a theft was reported in the 600 block of East Oak Street.

July 4, 10:35 a.m., a theft was reported at Walmart, 485 E. Airport Highway. 

Friday, 1:33 p.m., a bike was reported stolen in the 600 block of East Oak Street.

Saturday, 11:49 p.m., a possible burglary was reported in the 800 block of Ottokee Street.

Sunday, 4:50 p.m., a theft was reported in the 400 block of West Elm Street.

Monday, 2:27 p.m., a theft was reported at Walmart, 485 E. Airport Highway.

Tuesday, 5:04 p.m., a theft was reported in the 200 block of Jefferson Street.

Putnam Sheriff

Wednesday, electrical lines were reported down in the areas of County Road O and Ohio 12 due to a strong storm. American Electric Power was on the scene.

Defiance 

Fire — Tuesday, 4:23 p.m., firefighters were called to an alarm at 24777 Defiance-Paulding County Line Road, Defiance Township. An oven was reportedly sparking; no fire was found. 

Gilboa

Fire — Wednesday, 1:59 p.m., firefighters were called to a field fire at Putnam County roads 7 and J6, east of Ottawa. 

Wauseon

Fire — Wednesday, 11:46 a.m., firefighters were called to an alarm at 725 S. Shoop Ave.

Fire — Wednesday, 1:54 p.m., firefighters were called to a vehicle fire at 12985 County Road 14-2.

Napoleon

Fire — Wednesday, 4 p.m., firefighters were called to a brush fire on Township Road 14B.
