John Liming, one of the members of the Defiance law firm of Clemens, Korhn, Liming & Warncke Ltd., received this year’s Ohio State Bar Association Real Property Law Section Council’s Robert L. Hausser Memorial Award. The award recognizes outstanding achievement, contribution and leadership in the practice of real property law.
Liming is a 1978 graduate of Grinnell College and a 1981 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
In addition to real property law, his practice focuses on civil litigation including personal injury litigation.
He is the chairman of the Section Council’s title standards subcommittee, which is nearing completion of a multi-year revision of the title standards which help form the basis of determination of “marketable title.”
The term is often referenced in real estate purchase contracts.
