The Defiance County Airport Authority Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the airport on Ohio 15 northwest of Defiance.
Board meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month.
Henry County:
Meeting set---
The Henry County Historical Society’s trustee board will meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 20 at the Dr. Bloomfield Home, 229 E. Clinton St., Napoleon.
LEAD program---
The Napoleon Police Department recently sent school resource officer Brad Strickland for certification in LEAD (law enforcement against drugs and violence).
Strickland will now teach the LEAD classes for seventh graders at Napoleon schools. The class will meet once a week for 45 minutes for 10 weeks, and will focus on how students can make smart decisions by avoiding drugs and violence.
Paulding County:
Scholarships available---
Applications are due by April 7 for the Virginia Paulus-Iler scholarship.
Virginia Paulus, a former board member of the Paulding County Area Foundation, created a scholarship in 2019 for graduates of Paulding High School. Applications are available to university students in their junior year or third year of studies.
