Controlling Board signs off on Fulton County loan

COLUMBUS -- The state Controlling Board signed off on a $750,000 low-interest loan for a company expansion in Fulton County.

NRI Industrial Sales selected Delta for its primary U.S. distribution facility. According to documents, the Canadian company is "a one-stop shop and offers a diverse range of services including asset recovery for quality industrial equipment, scrap material handling and disposal, and equipment dismantling and removal."

The company plans to invest more than $3.6 million at the site, creating 30 full-time jobs in the process. The Ohio Tax Credit Authority earlier signed off on incentives for the project.

In other business Monday, lawmakers denied a request from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for $48,650 to purchase a skid steer from Rath Builders in Defiance for use by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Republican members of the panel questioned the transfer of capital funds originally slated for dam rehabilitation.
