The Napoleon Community Band will perform a Holiday Pops Concert on Monday December 7, 2009 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Napoleon, OH. The NCB trumpet trio will be highlighted along with many favorite sounds of the season. The featured ensemble this year will be Sax 4th Ave., an exciting and innovative saxophone quartet from the Toledo area. Since its formation in 1991, the quartet has entertained audiences throughout the Midwest with its unique brand of virtuosity, showmanship and humor. Their expanding repertoire includes the finest in saxophone literature, original compositions, jazz standards and music that incorporates improvisation and choreography. This was made possible through a grant from the Ohio Arts Council with additional financial supported from the Henry County Chamber of Commerce.
