When we step back at look at our downtown we have to wonder it will become. First Federal, the State Bank and VFW have state of the art buildings in the downtown area. Yet our local government keeps moving off Main Street. With the amount of money being tossed around why not spend in the downtown area. Several corner businesses are for sell and would make a great locations to build our new municipal court house. We could create another area with visual appeal as well as downtown parking that could be used for downtown shopping. City council mentioned they had 2.5 mil available from stimulus money lets use it to develop the downtown. Since the money is being supplied by our taxes we need to start looking at what is the best way to help our city and support our downtown businesses. Not only can this fill our needs for a municipal court but would use a lot of wasted downtown open locations.
