I would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Myra English of Myra J.,her "girls", and the designers from JC Penney salon for their time and expertise. On August 23, 2007 in the pouring down rain these women donated their time and supplies to make women and children look their best for back to school. How awesome it is when these womeneach person they DONATE their time to help those in need.Keep in mind they are not only donating their time, they are not making ANY money that day. Myra has now spearheaded this project for four years, and it has been a true honor to be involved with this. What made it more special this year, was due to the extreme generosity of a few local citizens we were able to give free school supplies to the kids that came for haircuts. Each day I come to work, I come in wondering what I can do to make life better for someone, and it makes me smile. These women have done the same thing now, and the look on their faces is pure contentment as they are truly making a difference for all these people. I've been at my job for 16 years, and it is people such as these that give me such an attitude of gratitude for our wonderful community.
Again, thanks ladies for making the difference in the life of a child.
