Six Inducted into Martial Arts Hall of Fame

Six members of Franz Karate were inducted into the US National Martial Arts Hall of Fame on Saturday April 4th at the gala event in Richmond, Indiana. The US National Martial Arts Hall of Fame is the oldest and most prestigious in the United States and was founded in 1976, Inducted for the year 2008 included Emma Dill, Junior Leader of the Year; Master Steven Franz, Grand Master of the Year; Matt Edington Sensei, Male Black Belt of the Year Karate; Kimberly Franz, Female Black Belt of the Year Karate; (not pictured) Master Jermey Bowers, Instructor of the Year Karate and Randy Fox Sensei, Assistant Instructor of the Year Karate. Franz Karate was one of the few schools to have this many students inducted at one time in the history of the Hall of Fame. The event took place over the weekend of April 3 to the 5th and members of Franz Karate participated in seminars by some of the world's leading instructors in martial arts such as Kali/Escrima, Jujitsu, Aiki-jitsu and Okinawa Weaponry. Master Steven Franz is one of the highest ranked Alumni of the Hall of Fame under the age of 40. He is the current director for the State of Ohio for the United States National Martial Arts Alliance and assists in managing USNMA events all over the United States.
