OTTAWA -- The Golden Bears of Bryan captured the win in the Division II sectional golf tournament at Country Acres on Thursday.
Van Wert finished second and Wauseon third to round out the team district qualifiers. Blake Doidge of Van Wert finished with a round of 73 to take medalist honors.
Corbin Stykemain of Defiance, Brandon Lambert of Napoleon, Mark Kaiser of Coldwater and Colton Barnes of Napoleon all qualified as individuals for districts. Stykemain shot a 75, Lambert fired a 76, Kaiser and 80 and Barnes an 81.
All qualifiers move on to play in district competition at Sycamore Springs Golf Course on Thursday.
At Auglaize, the Archbold boys golf team captured the Division III sectional title on Thursday at Auglaize Golf Club, finishing with a scored of 319.
Also advancing to districts at Stone Ridge in Bowling Green next Thursday as a team are Kalida (320) and Delphos St. John's (326).
Steven Kinsman of Archbold was medalist with a round of 74. Advancing to districts as individuals were Logan Wolfrum of Ayersville with a 76, Jordan Schimmoeller of Ottoville with a 78, Cody Warnecke of Fort Jennings with an 81 and Moore of Delphos Jefferson with an 84 after winning in a playoff.
At Ironwood, the Panthers of Stryker captured the Division III sectional golf tournament with a 317, with Liberty Center (324) taking second and Toledo Christian (334) third to round out the team qualifiers.
Zach Erb of Stryker finished with a 73 to take medalist honors.
Trent Feltz of Edgerton (78), Brent Cocke of Patrick Henry (79), Derick Wyrick of North Central (79) and Caleb Brinegar of Fayette (79) each qualified for as individual to districts.
All team and individual qualifiers move on to play in district competition at Bowling Green's Stone Ridge Golf Course on Thursday.
At Pleasant Valley, Wayne Trace finished second behind Delphos St. John's at the Wayne Trace girls golf invitational at Pleasant Valley, while the Lady Bulldogs of Defiance finished sixth.
Abby Martin of Delphos St. John's fired a 40 to earn medalist honors.
