Wednesday, 8:20 p.m., on U.S. 20A in Williams County's Brady Township, a vehicle truck driven by Thomas Stevens, 60, Balch Spring, Texas, overturned and lost its cargo. Stevens was cited for failure to control. Damage to the vehicle was heavy.

Defiance Police

Wednesday, 4:11 p.m., at First and Clinton streets, a vehicle driven by Ava Myers, 51, 03084 Mulligans Bluff Road, Ney, backed into a vehicle driven by Timothy Boerst, 38, Toledo. Myers was cited for failure to use care in backing. Damage was light to both vehicles.

Wednesday, 5:16 p.m., at First and Clinton streets, vehicles driven by Kelly McBride, 22, 1539 Woodhurst Drive, and Jason Bostelman, 19, 22381 Banner School Road, collided. Bostelman was cited for a red light violation. Damage was light to both vehicles.

Wednesday, Brandon Roehrig, 19, 1550 Westgate Drive, was charged with underage consumption, disorderly conduct while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction of official business following an alleged incident at Tom's Donuts, 502 E. Second St.

Wednesday, Lewis Ullinskey, 54, Defiance, was arrested on a bench warrant for failure to pay or appear. He was unable to post bond and taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.

Napoleon Police

Wednesday, William Vanalstine, 21, Archbold, was arrested on a drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia warrant from Defiance County.

Williams Sheriff

Wednesday, 12:47 p.m., on Ohio 34, near Ohio 576, a vehicle driven by Todd Hendricks, 44, Bryan, was struck by a stone that was kicked up from a passing vehicle. Damage was light.

Wednesday, John Hayes, 45, Quincy, Mich., was arrested on a warrant on indictment from the Williams County grand jury.

Wednesday, Bradford Fenter, 31, Bryan, was arrested on a warrant on indictment from the Williams County grand jury.

Wednesday, Elgin Service Center, Pioneer, reported theft of a 20-foot flatbed trailer, valued at $3,000. The complaint remains under investigation.

Fire -- Wednesday, 12:54 a.m., firefighters were called to Defiance College's McReynolds Hall, 701 Webster St., for a smoke detector going off.

Fire -- Wednesday, 2:22 a.m., firefighters were called to Laurels of Defiance, 1701 S. Jefferson Ave., for an alarm. A leaking pipe was discovered.

Deshler

Fire -- Wednesday, 9:41 p.m., at Ohio 65 and County Road G, firefighters were called to extinguish a grass fire. The department was on the scene for 45 minutes.

Williams Common Pleas

Rodney Garza, 18, Bryan, pleaded guilty to safecracking, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for June 4.

Derek Knierim, 19, Wauseon, was sentenced to three years of community control for three counts of arson, all fourth-degree felonies, and one count of breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony.

Pascal Mapati, 29, Edgerton, pleaded guilty to burglary, a fourth-degree felony. Sentencing is scheduled for June 5.

Otis McKinsey Jr., 46, West Unity, was sentenced to three years of community control for non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony.

Michael Robinson, 29, Stryker, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, receiving stolen property, and possessing criminal tools, all fifth-degree felonies. Sentencing is scheduled for June 4.
