Michael W. Parker, 46, Defiance, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in his residence.
He was born June 9, 1963, in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of Carroll and Shirley (Zimmerman) Parker. On October 31, 1996, he married Virginia Gutierrez, who survives. He was disabled and attended Defiance Christian Church. He was a member of Defiance Moose Lodge and Defiance Eagles Aerie.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Gutierrez, Defiance; four daughters, Rebekah (Dale) Sheets of New Bavaria, Ohio, Monica Gutierrez of Columbus, Ohio, Lydia Gutierrez of the state of Tennessee, and DeAnna Parker, Defiance (at home); two stepdaughters, Tessa Gutierrez of Toledo, Ohio, and Sarah Gutierrez, Defiance (at home); three grandsons; a brother, Richard Parker, Defiance; a sister, Marsha Parker, Defiance; and his mother, Shirley Parker, Defiance.
Preceding him in death were his father and a brother, Jimmie Parker.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Defiance Christian Church with Rev. Bryan Maxey officiating. Luncheon will follow at the church. Handling arrangements is Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home, Defiance.
