BRYAN -- Louise May (Buehrer) Fisher, 78, Bryan, and formerly of Delta, died Tuesday afternoon, July 1, 2008, at her home after a brief battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.

She was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Wauseon, the daughter of Lloyd and Ruth (Willey) Buehrer. In 1949, she married Melvin Fisher, who survives. She graduated from Northwest State Community College as a dietetic technician and worked in Pike-Delta-York school system, Filling Home of Mercy in Napoleon, Colonial Nursing Home in Toledo, and retired from the Sunshine Children's Home in Maumee in 1989. She was a member and director of the Ladies Billiards League of Sleepy Valley Resort in Texas, where she won numerous tournaments. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan.

Also surviving are a son, Larry (Linda), Delta; two daughters, Bonnie (Eugene) Woltman of Marietta, Ga., and Connie Osterhout, Bryan; five sisters, Gladys (Art) Bruner of St. Petersburg, Fla., Marilyn Eby of Wauseon, Freida Whitaker of Akron, Shirley (Rockey) Rockford of North Sioux City, S.D., and Jane Smith, Wauseon; two brothers, Cecil (Carolyn) Buehrer of Norwalk and Donald (Nancy) Buehrer, Archbold; a brother-in-law, Arthur (Virginia) Fisher, Delta; and four granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Woodland and Earnest Buehrer, in infancy; a sister and brother-in-law, Elsie and Rolland Taylor; two brothers-in-law, Charles Whitaker and George Eby; and a son-in-law, Max Osterhout.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Bryan, with Rev. Don Leckrone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Burr Funeral Home & Crematory, Bryan, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
