EDON -- Linda L. Wortkoetter, 64, rural Edon, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008, in her home after a long illness.

She was born July 31, 1943, in Angola, Ind., the daughter of Kenneth and Vera (Keller) Headley. In 1962, she married DeWayne Wortkoetter, who survives. She was a 1961 graduate of Edon High School, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee, and of United Food Workers Union. She worked in retail business for 30 years with Burkhardt Grocery, Rite-Aid and Millers New Market, retiring due to disability.

Also surviving are: three sons, Andrew (Amy) of Greenfield, Ind., Alan (Michelle) of Las Vegas, Nev., and Marvin (Danyel), Edon; three sisters, Norma (Duane) Towers and Beverly Little of Edon and Shirley (Dayton) Hake, Fort Wayne; and 11 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, John; and a brother, Michael Headley.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee, with Father Frederick Duschl officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with scripture services at 8 p.m.
