EDON -- Betty B. Gearhart, 82, Edon, died at 9:38 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2008, in Cameron Memorial Hospital, Angola, Ind.
She was born Sept. 4, 1925, in New Philadelphia, the daughter of Alfred and Lona (Kirby) Winzenreid. In 1949, she married W. Gene Gearhart, who died in 1996. She was a graduate of East Sparta High School and the Canton College of Beauty Culture and operated Betty's Beauty Shoppe for 10 years. She was a member of the Edon Church of Christ and Gideons International.
Surviving are four sons, Kim (Laura) and Andy (Kerri) of Edon, Dale (Susan) of Montpelier and Mike, Apopka, Fla.; a sister, Iva Mae Keller, Marysville, Tenn.; a brother, Jack (Ellen) Winzenreid, Athens, Ala.; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Dean Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Edon Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday.
