Dr. Sarah Heilshorn, professor of materials science and engineering at Stanford University, works in her laboratory to create new proteins that interact with cells in the human body. The lab-produced proteins can provide new treatment methods for heart damage, spinal cord injuries and Parkinson’s Disease.
