EUGENE, Ore. -- Michael Dunigan had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Oregon used a late run to pull away from Oakland for a 72-60 victory Saturday night.

Malcolm Armstead and Jeremy Jacob also scored 12 each for the Ducks (6-4), who went up 66-48 following a 16-0 run that featured the ejection of Oakland coach Greg Kampe.

Keith Benson scored 14 for the Golden Grizzlies (6-6), including 12 in the second half.

Oakland pulled to within 50-48 on two free throws by Benson with 7:40 to play.

But Garrett Sim and Jamil Wilson connected on back-to-back 3-pointers for Oregon, and Armstead followed with four straight points.

Then Oakland's Derick Nelson appeared to get fouled by E.J. Singler on a drive to the basket with 4:29 to play. Nelson was instead called for a charge, and Kampe, a 1974 Defiance High School graduate, was whistled for a technical foul while protesting. Moments later he was whistled for a second technical and ejected. Singler made all four free throws, and Dunigan scored on the Ducks' ensuing possession to make it 66-48 with 4:05 to play.

Drew Maynard scored 11 and Larry Wright added 10 for Oakland, which beat Oregon each of the last two seasons.

Iowa athletic director Gary Barta said Sunday that the 20-year-old Tucker, the team's second-leading scorer with 11.9 points per game, would be suspended indefinitely. Jason Terry added 19 points, Jason Kidd had 10 points and 11 assists, and both Drew Gooden and Shawn Marion had 12 points and eight rebounds. James had 25 points, six assists and three rebounds, but didn't get enough help. Mo Williams scored only eight points and Shaquille O'Neal was just 1 of 7 for five points.

Close to deal: The Oakland Athletics were closing in on a deal Sunday with free-agent outfielder Coco Crisp on a one-year contract with a club option for the 2011 season.

The 30-year-old Crisp, who can play all three outfield positions but is primarily a center fielder, underwent season-ending shoulder surgery in June and batted .228 with three home runs and 14 RBIs in only 49 games last season for Kansas City, wich last month declined their $8 million option to bring Crisp back in 2010.
