There have been many people logging in to The Crescent-News website today viewing the results of Tuesday's election.

But did you know that if you have a subscription to the print edition of The Crescent-News, you can gain free access to all of the content on www.crescent-news.com

If you do have a print subscription to this newspaper and do not have a username and password for the The Crescent-News Online, here are some steps to follow to gain access:

1. At the top middle of our home page, click on "Register/Subscribe."

2. A list of subscription options will appear on your screen. Click on the blank circle next to "Already a Paper Subscriber" and then look toward the bottom of the page. Type the information on the form at the bottom of the page, which includes your name, address, e-mail and then type in what you want to use as your password.

Also of importance: There are several checkboxes at the bottom of this page. This gives you the option to receive "Daily Headlines," "Breaking News," "Weekly Events" and "Special Offers."

3. Now click "Submit."

That's all there is to it.

If you have questions, please use the information at the end of this column to contact me.

How times have changed

This isn't your ordinary college class, but it's something that's definitely catching on ...

Purdue University has added Twitter and Facebook to class participation. This feature is titled "Hotseat" and its used to allow students to comment on the class as it proceeds, with everyone in the class -- including the professor -- able to see the messaging as it happens.

Need your help

Can you help? I'd like to see more funny captions from you. We've got a tough picture to come up with something creative, but I know you can do this: Go to www.crescent-news.com/news/simple_article/4701314 and view the picture. Below the photo in the "Comments" box, you can write some sort of creative caption to this.

Crazy coffins

People are buried in some unusual caskets. One website shows some of these in what is titled: "Crazy coffins people are actually buried in."

Statue of Liberty

How well do you know your facts about the Statue of Liberty. HowStuffWorks.com posts a history lesson (which, by the way, would be great for the classroom) in the site titled "20 Facts About the Statue of Liberty."

Online ESPN games

I didn't know ESPN had a host of arcade style games online. There are a variety of games available like air hockey, pool, mini hoops, field goal kicking and more.

Cornhole

I struggled to find a good Cornhole game online. Probably the best is from AddictingGames.com and that was still a little tough. However, once you get the hang of the online game, it's fun.

When you set up this game for yourself, be sure to use the three-click method, which I thought was the easier way to toss the bag.
