Most of you probably have watched the "Evolution of Dance" videos. If not, you need to spend about five minutes of fun and watch it at http://blogs.dixcdn.com/caught_in_the_web/?p=245

But this craze of dancing to segments of several songs has caught the attention of wedding parties, making these parties a little bit more special.

One bride and groom started their wedding dance in normal fashion, with a slow song. But about a minute into the dance, their version of "Evolution of Dance" kicked in. You can view this at http://blogs.dixcdn.com/caught_in_the_web/?p=344 and remember that the "real dancing" doesn't start for about a minute into the video.

There are other videos on YouTube of wedding parties using the "Evolution of Dance" theme. Just go to YouTube.com and on the "Search" bar, type in "Bride and Groom Evolution of Dance" and "Wedding Party Evolution of Dance."

Wedding finger

While we're on the topic of weddings, do you know why the wedding ring is placed on the same finger for everyone?

This video -- between 1 and 2 minutes long at http://blogs.dixcdn.com/caught_in_the_web/?p=348 -- gives an explanation for this, and while it may not be the official reason why, the video still makes a great point.

Jump rope dancing

On the basketball floor, a team of jump-ropers took the court and put on a fantastic performance. Fortunately, someone recorded and edited this and put it on Blip.TV
