HICKSVILLE -- A Defiance County woman was seriously injured in a one-car crash Sunday morning east of Hicksville.
Kimberly Bender, 25, 231 E. High St., Hicksville, was listed in "serious" condition this morning at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
According to the Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at 10 a.m. Bender was driving west on Fountain Street Road, west of Lake Road, when the car went off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
Bender was transported by Hicksville EMS to Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, and was later transferred by air ambulance to Parkview.
Troopers said that alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Damage to the vehicle was heavy.
