ARCHBOLD -- Chad Baus, vice president and co-owner of CAR 1 of Archbold, has been nominated for the 20 Under 40 Leadership Award in recognition for his contributions to the community and personal career development. He will be honored along with 100 other candidates at the 2009 20 Under 40 Awards Program on Sept. 30 at the Fifth Third Center at One Seagate Center, Toledo. Twenty of these nominees will be officially announced as winners at the ceremony. Baus joined his family's car business in 2001, after leaving a corporate music entertainment career in Nashville. He is now the vice president of sales, and joins his brother, Aaron, and father, Larry, as a co-owners of CAR 1. In addition to his role as a local business owner, Baus serves as chairman of the National Federation of Independent Businesses' area action council, president of Wauseon's Net Sense Professional Business Networking group, and chairman of the Archbold Business Connections Business Networking group. On a personal level, Baus serves as a Cub Scout den leader and a Junior Achievement volunteer and is an active member and volunteer at Crossroads Evangelical Church, Wauseon. A 1990 graduate of Archbold High School, Baus obtained his bachelor of arts degree from Anderson University, completing a double major in management and marketing in 1994. He and his wife, Beth, are parents of two boys, Daniel and Levi. Comments
