Community Breakfast -- Ayersville United Methodist Church, 27728 Ayersville Road, Saturday, 7:30-10:30 a.m. Menu includes bacon, sausage links, hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, pancakes, fruit, coffee cake and beverages. Free-will offering.

Special Music -- Fulton County Fair gospel tent, Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Christian songwriter and recording artist Kevin Mabry will minister during the Christian Music Ministries worship service. He will also be in concert that night at 7 p.m. Free-will offering at both concerts.

St. Mary Altar and Rosary Society -- St. Mary Catholic Parish Ministry Center, Defiance, Tuesday, 7 p.m. Program is "Places We Have Been, Near or Far."

Free Community Supper -- Zion's Lutheran Church, corner of East Second Street and Greenhouse Avenue, Wednesday, 5:15-6:30 p.m. Monthly food pantry and clothes closet services available.

Fall Rummage Sale -- Neapolis Church of Christ, corner of Central and Main, Neapolis, Sept. 10-11 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sept. 12 from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. "Heavenly Café" will be open from 8:30-5:30 p.m. on Sept. 10-11 with homemade pancakes and sausage, soups, sandwiches, salads, and pies. The café will move outdoors on Sept. 12 with special treats for the Neapolis Melon Fest.

Baked Steak Supper -- McClure United Methodist Church, Sept. 11, 5-7 p.m. Free-will offering, carry-out available. The church is located on Ohio 65, just south of U.S. 6 in McClure.

Weekend Revival Services -- Melrose United Methodist Church (two miles east of Oakwood on State Route 613), Sept. 11-13, 7 p.m. nightly. Guest speaker is Pastor Tim Burden of Trinity United Methodist Church in Van Wert. Everyone welcome.

Ice Cream Social -- St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 30304 New Bavaria Road, rural Defiance, Sept. 13, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Menu includes bratwurst, hot beef, chicken and hot dog sandwiches; German potato salad, sauerkraut and baked beans; and desserts, beverages and Schwan's ice cream. Craft and bake sale, too. Free-will offering, carry-out available.

Free-will offering, proceeds used for renovations to the adjacent one-room school used as a youth area.

Dedication and Anniversary Service -- Restoration Fellowship Church, 10643 County Road A, rural Williams Center, Sept. 13, 3 p.m. The new family life center will be dedicated and the 40th anniversary of the ordination of Pastor James Adams will be celebrated. Special music by "The MaHarrey's." Everyone welcome.

Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University -- St. John Lutheran Church, 655 Wayne Ave., Sept. 13, 6 p.m. This life-changing class on personal finance continues at same time every Sunday through Dec. 6. (Sept. 14), Nancy MaHarrey (Sept. 15) and Dr. Janelle Wade (Sept. 16). "The MaHarrey's" will minister in song each night. Everyone welcome.

Spaghetti Dinner Benefit for Jina Flory -- Ayersville United Methodist Church, 27728 Ayersville Road, Sept. 15, 4:30-7:30 p.m. This event is co-hosted by Highland Township Fire Department. Free-will donation, with proceeds to help with medical and other household expenses for Jina Flory, a preschool teacher at ARK Preschool in Defiance who was diagnosed with cancer last month and has already undergone one surgery and spent 10 days in the hospital.

Special Speaker -- Knights of Columbus Hall, 111, Elliott Road, Sept. 15-16, social hour 6:30 p.m., message at 7 p.m. nightly. Guest speaker Mike Patin will use energy, humor and stories to encourage participants to "Believe It! Pray It Share It." These events begin a new season of intergenerational faith formation at St. John and St. Mary Catholic parishes. Open to the public, everyone welcome.

Divorce Care Programs -- West Clinton Mennonite Church, 18029 County Road C, Wauseon, Sept. 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. DC4K, a program for children (ages 5-12) of families experiencing divorce and separation; and DivorceCare, a program for adults experiencing divorce and/or separation will run continue every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. through Dec. 8. Rod and Barb Thomas Concert -- Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren, corner of Domersville and Flory Roads, Sept. 16, 7 p.m. This musical duo is from Tennessee where they have recorded several gospel albums. Free-will offering to support their ministry.

LWML Defiance-Napoleon Zones Annual Retreat -- St. John Lutheran Church family life center, U.S. 6 and State Route 66 (just south of Four County Career Center), Sept. 19, registration at 8:30 a.m. Theme is "County Your Blessings." Ambassador Fatherhood Education & Parenting Class -- Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 12402 Fullmer Rd., starts Sept. 19, 9:30-11:30 a.m. This class, sponsored by Operation Re-Seed Christian Ministries, is an 8-session program meeting every other week. This is the ideal fatherhood class for young fathers, new fathers, men with no kids, fathers involved with the legal system and the Child Support Enforcement Agency. Ice Cream Social and Chicken Barbecue -- Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren, corner of Domersville and Flory Roads, Sept. 20, 12-1 p.m. A SERVV shop will be set up, featuring hand-crafted goods from around the world. Tickets can be purchased or reserved through the church office at 419-497-3311 on Wednesdays and Fridays through Sept. 16. Tickets will not be available at the door. Proceeds to youth group trip to Colorado next summer for Church of the Brethren national youth conference. Everyone welcome.

"The Country Pals" Concert -- Central Mennonite Church, 21703 State Route 2, Archbold, Sept. 20, 7-8 p.m. This old-time gospel and bluegrass music group is comprised of area residents Ed Roth, Bob Flory, Sherman Hathaway, Bob Leidigh, Dave Spiess, Merle Wyse, Jim Avery and Zelma Kauffman. Special performances by the Aeschliman Children Trip and 11-year-old violinist Eli Thomas. Free-will offering, all proceeds to benefit FISH food pantries in Archbold and Wauseon. Bryan Area Christian Prayer Breakfast -- Wesley United Methodist Church, 903 Center St., Bryan, Sept. 24, 8:30-9:15 a.m., continental breakfast; program starts at 9:45 a.m. Guest speaker and musician is Robert Rogers, whose book Into the Deep tells about his journey of faith after his wife and four children drowned in a flash flood in 2001. Pre-Marital Class for Couples -- Mt. Free Community Supper -- St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 1400 Glenwood Ave., Napoleon, Oct. 6, 5-6 p.m., hosted by the Episcopal Shared Ministry of Northwest Ohio.

"Sharing Bread" Gathering -- Ponderosa Restaurant, Defiance, Oct. 6, 5:30 p.m. Area residents who are hurting for any reason are invited to attend this very informal gathering for coffee, dessert or a full meal. Persons are responsible for the cost of their food and beverage. There is no set agenda. Greeters are Diane Mayer and Judy Sauer. Everyone welcome.
