NEY -- A Ney man was seriously injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash near here. Kenith Snyder, 38, 175 N. Water St., was listed in "serious" condition at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was taken from the scene by air ambulance to the hospital. According to the Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, Snyder was southbound on Ohio 15 at 12:21 p.m. when his vehicle went left of center and struck a northbound semi driven by Mark Krieger, 28, Columbus. Snyder's vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway and Krieger's vehicle jackknifed and came to rest in the northbound lane. Damage to both vehicles was heavy. Troopers reported that Ohio 15 was closed until approximately 1:45 p.m. Assisting at the scene were Sherwood Fire and Rescue, Ney-Washington Township Fire Department, Defiance County Sheriff's Office and ProMedica air ambulance.
