Paulding visiting nurses celebrate 30th anniversary

PAULDING -- Paulding Area Visiting Nurses, soon to be known as Community Health Professionals of Paulding County, is celebrating 30 years of providing care to area residents.

To mark the date, the agency is planning a gala event to take place April 18 in the extension building located on the Paulding County Fairgrounds. All proceeds from the evening's activities will go to the patient care fund.

"We've Got Rhythm," the annual spring musical, will feature a large array of entertainment as well as a buffet dinner.

Dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. The menu includes chicken and ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, rolls, beverage and dessert. Cost for the meal is $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 11 and under.

The musical will follow at 7 p.m. Tickets for the performance are $5 each. Headlining the entertainment will be Toledo's Other Bag Lady, offering music, humor and inspiration.

Also performing will be Carolyn Hagerman, a former aide with visiting nurses; Ashlynn Rice and Sarah Zamarripa. The Paulding United Methodist Church Children's Bell Choir will play and the Bottom of the Barrel Boys of Grover Hill will present a mix of bluegrass music and country humor.

In addition, Michigan and Ohio State afghans will be raffled off. Tickets are $1 each or seven for $5.
