State Patrol
Monday, 6:30 p.m., on Ohio 15 in Williams County's Jefferson Township, a truck driven by Abraham Aguilar, 41, 217 Christine Drive, Archbold, struck a dog. Damage to the vehicle was light.

Monday, 7:50 p.m., on U.S. 20-A in Williams County's Jefferson Township, a car driven by Amie Gillespie, 24, Adrian, Mich., and a semi driven by Charles Nelson, 57, Angola, Ind., collided. Nelson's vehicle was then struck by a Canadian Pacific Railway train. Gillespie was transported by Life Squad to Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan, where she was treated and released. Damage to both vehicles was heavy.

Napoleon Police
Monday, 3:45 p.m., at Clinton Street and George Isaac Drive, a car driven by Amy Wilkes, 332, U-915 County Road 11, Liberty Center, struck a car driven by Rosie Jimenez, 76, 869 McKinley St. Wilkes was cited for a red light violation. Jimenez was transported by the Defiance Fire Department to Defiance Regional Medical Center where her condition was unavailable. Damage to both vehicles was heavy.

Monday, Christopher Butler, 25, Defiance, was arrested on a bench warrant from Defiance Municipal Court.

Williams County
Monday, Kartina Cuzynski, 39, Montpelier, was arrested on a bench warrant from Bryan Municipal Court on a charge of passing bad checks.

Monday, 8:04 p.m., on County Road M.50, west of County Road 13, a truck driven by Timothy Sanders, 44, Montpelier, struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was moderate.

Monday, Eric Grossman, 27, Napoleon, was served a summons on a charge of assault.

Monday, George Medina, 42, Malinta, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.

Fire " Monday, 3:14 p.m., firefighters were called to 459 Pontiac Drive for a carbon monoxide investigation.

Defiance Grand Jury
A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against 10 persons, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray, including one person who allegedly embezzled money from a non-profit organization.
Courtney Shull, 32, 829 Kentner St., was indicted on charges of grand theft, a fourth-degree felony, and misuse of credit cards, a fifth-degree felony.
Authorities allege that Shull stole funds from the Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter of Defiance, Henry and Paulding counties while employed as its executive director.
"She was responsible for managing the operation," explained Murray.
He said the alleged thefts occurred between November 2005 and November 2008. Approximately $15,000 was taken, he alleged, although "the exact total is still being determined."
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is a national non-profit organization which relies on volunteers to form one-to-one relationships with children in the 6-18 range.

Also indicted were:
" Sivad Davis, 21, 25918 Bowman Road, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Davis engaged in sexual conduct with another, knowing the other person was 13 years of age or older, but less than 16.
" Sheila Gallagher, 49, 14637 Williams Road, grand theft, a fourth-degree felony. She allegedly received benefit payments totaling more than $5,000 beyond the scope of the express or implied consent of the owner.
" Daniel Kolb, 44, 1494 Westgate Drive, DUI and DUI with a specified concentration of alcohol, each a fourth-degree felony. He allegedly operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, having been convicted of five or more violations within 20 years, and had a concentration of seventeen-hundredths of one gram or more by weight of alcohol per 210 liters of his breath.
" Nathan Wireman, 26, 712 Alton St., domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, and two counts of endangering children, each a first-degree misdemeanor. Authorities allege that Wireman caused physical harm to a family or household member, having had a prior conviction for domestic violence. He also allegedly created a substantial risk to the health or safety of a child during the altercation.
" Joshua Armstrong, 24, Napoleon, forgery and receiving stolen property, each a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Armstrong used property stolen from a vehicle in Defiance.
" Christopher Hitchcock, 33, 2070 Royal Palm Ave., non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Hitchcock failed to provide adequate support to his children under the age of 18.
" Michael Leitner, 34, 27790 Watson Road, possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs (oxycodone), each a fifth-degree felony.
" Daniel Mohr, 34, 501 Hopkins St., misuse of credit cards and theft, each a fifth-degree felony. He allegedly used another person's debit card without permission and obtained more than $500.
" William Reeves, 26, 1108 E. River Drive, receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that Reeves was in possession of property reported stolen from a Defiance residence.
According to Murray, arraignments were scheduled for today in Defiance County Common Pleas Court.

Defiance Municipal Court
Edward Hernendez, 33, 10813 Bend Road, Sherwood, appeared on a charge of domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. His arraignment was set for Wednesday morning. He was given a personal-recognizance bond.

Connie Wandtke, 52, 1038 Ottawa Ave., was bound over to a Defiance County grand jury after she waived her right to a preliminary hearing on a charge of possession of crack cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. Her $25,000 bond was continued.

Cases set for pretrial hearing: Robert Breininger, 33, 501 Hopkins St., two counts of sexual imposition; John Chaffins, 25, 129 W. Hicks St., Hicksville, domestic violence; Steven Stearns, 40, 29992 Defiance-Ayersville Road, violating a temporary protection order, possession of criminal tools; Connie Wandtke, 52, 1038 Ottawa Ave., possession of drug paraphernalia; Terri Clymer, 44, 1399 Milwaukee Ave., telecommunication harassment; Tib Moore, 28, Butler, Ind., criminal damaging, criminal trespassing.

Sentenced: Jo Wagner, 47, 19513 Ohio 111, driving under suspension, $250 fine, three days jail; Misty Eberle, 27, 1062 Emerald Road, Paulding, child endangering, $500 fine stayed, 90 days jail stayed; Roger Rowe Jr., 43, Van Wert, driving under suspension, $100 fine, 90 days jail suspended; Cindel Fenter, 19, 700 Kiser Road, disorderly conduct, $50 fine; Aric Hamman, 31, 212 Webster St., obstructing official business, $100 fine, 60 days jail suspended; Christopher Hogrefe, 35, 635 E. Washington Ave., Napoleon, open container, $35 fine; Steven Noaker, 19, Liberty Center, trespassing on municipal property, $100 fine, littering, $50 fine; Shawn Blanton, 33, Toledo, failure to pay, 85 days jail reimposed; Robert Breininger, 33, 501 Hopkins St., failure to pay, 177 days jail reimposed; John Chaffins, 25, 129 W. Hicks St., Hicksville, drug abuse, $150 fine, six-month license suspension; Pamela Matney, 44, Toledo, obstructing official business, $750 fine suspended, 90 days jail; Kimberly Baun, 41, Delta, passing a bad check, $100 fine, pay restitution; Angela Bolton, 41, 26769 Behrens Road, failure to stop for a school bus, $100 fine; Christopher Butler, 25, 728 S. Jackson Ave., contempt of court, 30 days jail stayed.
