NAPOLEON -- A Defiance woman died Wednesday night from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at a Henry County intersection.
Christine Roberts, 19, 616 Hopkins St., Defiance, was pronounced dead at Henry County Hospital where she was taken following the accident at 11:07 p.m. at County Roads P-3 and 12, according to the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
A passenger in Robert's vehicle, Tiffany Conley, 19, 8031/2 Ottawa Ave., Defiance, was transported by Napoleon rescue to Henry County Hospital where her condition was unavailable this morning.
Deputies report that a car driven by Roberts was northbound on County Road 12 when she attempted to turn left onto Road P-3, but failed to yield to a truck driven by Larry Rodriguez, 46, 326 N. Keyser Ave., Deshler, which was eastbound on Road P-3, and Rodriguez's truck hit Roberts' car.
Roberts' vehicle came to rest in a ditch east of the intersection and Rodriguez's vehicle hit a utility pole at the northeast corner of the intersection.
Damage to both vehicles was heavy.
