DHS and Napoleon sweep dual matches

The Defiance boys and girls both picked up wins over Anthony Wayne on Tuesday.

Defiance's boys earned a 91-75 win over the Generals with freshman Nick Rath capturing first in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke.

Chris Winnie added a first-place showing in diving while William Johns was first in the 500 freestyle.

The Bulldogs 200 freestlye relay of John Ferland, Ryan McDonough, Winnie and Ben Hackworth also took home a first-place finish.

Defiance's girls trimmed Anthony Wayne 87-85 with a handful of first-place finishes leading the way.

Karrah Rath was first in the 50 freestyle for the Lady Bulldogs while Emmy Johansen (diving), Victoria Romes (100 butterfly) and Kelsie Campbell (100 freestyle) all capturing first place individually.

Romes, Campbell, Emily Sanchez and Rath helped the 200 freestyle relay capture first.

NAPOLEON -- The Wildcats of Napoleon swept both the boys and girls meets in a head-to-head with Sylvania Northview.

In the boys meet, Jon Schroeder took the top spot in the 50 and 100 freestyle, while Spencer Witt claimed the first place finish in the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke as the Wildcats (4-1) picked up a 138-47 victory.

In the girls meet, Samantha Zuch finished first in the 200 individual medley and the 500 freestyle to help the Lady Wildcats (5-0) claim a 124-62 win.
