State Patrol
Monday, 7:10 p.m., on Ohio-Indiana State Line Road in Defiance County's Hicksville Township, a vehicle driven by Jennifer Kief, 18, Hicksville, struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was moderate.

Monday, 7:34 a.m., at South Jefferson Avenue and Greenler Road, vehicles driven by Claire Buchman, 16, 1825 Ginter Road, and Karla Batt, 44, 244 Riverdale Drive, collided. Batt was cited for a red light violation. Damage was heavy to both vehicles.

Monday, 9:59 p.m., on Clinton Street, near First Street, vehicles driven by Bernard Wisda, 66, 769 Kentner St., and Diane Simon, 45, Leipsic, collided. Simon was cited for failure to drive within continuous lanes. Damage was light to both vehicles.

Monday, 10:57 a.m., at Clinton and Second Streets, vehicles driven by Chad Long, 28, Oakwood, and Shonda Jewell, age unknown, 411 Auglaize St., collided. Jewell was cited for assured clear distance. Damage was light to both vehicles.

Monday, Amber Adams, 20, 708 Holly Glen Drive, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Defiance Municipal Court for failing to pay or appear.

Monday, Jim Nelson, 33, Dayton, was charged with OVI, speed, open container, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on East Second Street.

Monday, James Monroe, 24, 620 Perry St., was arrested on a bench warrant out of Defiance Municipal Court for failure to appear.

Henry Sheriff
Monday, 6:43 a.m., on Ohio 424, south of Township Road N, a car driven by Heather Riley, 24, 700 Kiser Road, Defiance, struck a guardrail. Riley was cited for failure to control. Damage to the vehicle was heavy.

Monday, 3:29 p.m., on County Road 17, south of County Road Y, a truck driven by Charles MiGinn, 35, Oregon, struck a ditch. Damage to the vehicle was heavy.

Monday, Trisha Lopez, 20, Napoleon, was served a summons on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Paulding Sheriff
Monday, 6:30 a.m., on Paulding County Road 140 west of County Road 191, a truck driven by Michael Brink, 36, I-043 Ohio 108, Holgate, struck a deer. Damage to the vehicle was moderate.

Sunday, 9:50 a.m., Paulding County Road 173 at County Road 32, a car driven by Kristina Clippinger, 16, 248 E. Main St., Ottoville, struck a traffic sign and a mailbox. Damage to the vehicle was severe. She was cited for failure to control.

Sunday, 5:30 a.m., Paulding County Road 179 north of County Road 148, a car driven by Dustin Dotson, 19, 18293 Defiance Paulding County Line Road, Defiance, struck a guardrail. Damage to the vehicle was severe. He was sited for OVI.

Williams Sheriff
Monday, Orchard Hills Flowers, Bryan, reported numerous metal items, a steel pipe, a cement reinforcement rod, rope, and a mailbox stolen from the property. Estimated loss is $350.

Putnam Sheriff
Today, 3:19 a.m., on Road 18-S, a vehicle, driver unknown, struck a guardrail and rolled into a field. Two individuals were taken by ground to St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Assisting at the scene were the Fort Jennings Fire Department, Ottoville EMS, and Kalida Heavy Rescue. Further information was unavailable at press time.

Hamler Village
Fire " Monday, 3:20 p.m., at Ohio 18 and County Road 10, firefighters were called to extinguish a combine fire. The department was cleared at 3:33 p.m.

The Senate ethics committee investigated five senators relationships with Keating. The panel cited McCain for a lesser role than the others, but faulted his "poor judgment."
Obama's new Web video, being e-mailed to millions of his supporters, summarizes a 13-minute Web "documentary" that the campaign plans to distribute today.
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe said in a statement, "McCain's Keating history is relevant and voters deserve to know the facts."
On Sunday, Obama also unveiled a TV ad on the economy that describes McCain was "erratic in a crisis." Some see that as a reminder of McCain's age, 72.
