MONTPELIER -- A 5-year-old Montpelier girl remained hospitalized this morning with critical injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident Sunday evening. Paige Briner was listed in "critical" condition at St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, where she was taken by air ambulance after the 6:30 p.m. accident at 119 Navaho Trail, Lake Seneca. According to the Williams County Sheriff's Office, Briner got on a snowmobile that had been started and hit the accelerator. The snowmobile traveled approximately two yards and struck a rock. Briner was thrown from the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation. Comments
