MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Defiance product Jon Niese continued his splendid call-up to Triple-A New Orleans (New York Mets' affiliate) on Saturday against Memphis by collecting his third straight victory in a 3-2 Zephyrs' win.
The southpaw tossed six innings and allowed two runs on five hits while striking out a handful of Redbirds. Niese is now 3-0 in three starts at the Triple A level and sports a 2.37 ERA.
