State Patrol
Tuesday, 4 a.m., on Ohio 15 in Defiance County's Highland Township, a vehicle driven by Mary Wagner, 22, Continental, struck a deer that continued on. Damage to the vehicle was light.

Tuesday, 6:10 a.m., on Williams County Road K in Superior Township, a vehicle driven by Daniel Clark, 55, Montpelier, struck a deer that continued on. Damage to the vehicle was moderate.

Tuesday, 6:40 p.m., on Ohio 15 in Defiance County's Highland Township, a vehicle driven by Brittany Moore, 17, Continental, struck a utility pole. Moore and passenger, Codey Elston, 11 months, Continental, were taken by Highland Township EMS to Defiance Regional Medical Center where condition updates were unavailable. Megan Guelde, 18, Continental, another passenger in the Moore vehicle, was taken by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital where she was listed in "fair" condition this morning. Moore was cited for failure to control. Damage to the vehicle was heavy.

Tuesday, 11:20 p.m., on Openlander Road in Defiance County's Mark Township, a vehicle driven by Patrick Hines, 39, Sherwood, struck and killed a deer. Damage to the vehicle was light.

Defiance Police
Monday, 12:25 p.m., at Clinton and East Second Streets, vehicles driven by Thomas Schindler, 51, Holgate, and Joshua Smith, 20, 222 Jackson Ave., collided. Smith was cited for failure to control. Damage was light to Schindler's vehicle and unknown to Smith's vehicle.

Tuesday, Kelly Westfall, 44, 620 Ravine Ave., was charged with OVI and failure to control following an accident investigation at Third and Clinton Streets.

Defiance Sheriff
Tuesday, Rachel Lee, 31, Cecil, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Defiance Municipal Court. She was taken to the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, rural Stryker.

Tuesday, Rick Whatman, 34, Defiance, was arrested on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Michigan following an alleged incident on Mustang Drive.

Tuesday, 2:35 p.m., on Ohio 576 near Williams County Road F, a stone from a vehicle driven by David Townsend, 49, Fort Wayne, Ind., struck the windshield of a vehicle driven by Shawne Bonney, 31, Pioneer. Damage to Bonney's vehicle was light.

Tuesday, Hutch's Carry Out, Montpelier, reported a gasoline drive-off. Loss was $35.

Today, a cell phone was reported stolen from 130 Washington St., Hamler.

Fire " Tuesday, 6:28 p.m., firefighters were called to Diehl Inc., 24 N. Clinton St., for an alarm. A sprinkler line was broken, there was no fire.
