Ohio Women's Open announces new pre-tournament events; event is at Kettenring Country Club

The Ohio Women's Open has announced new pre-tournament events, an instructional clinic, and equipment demonstrations open to the public.
Area golfers will be treated to two new events this year at the First Federal Bank Ohio Women's Open presented by Credit Adjustments, Inc. In conjunction with the tournament, which will be held Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 11 and 12 at Kettenring Country Club. There will be pre-tournament weekend events that are free and open to the public.

A Community Clinic Day will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9. The Community Clinic, sponsored by the Defiance Clinic, will be a free instructional clinic that will be hosted by guest golf professionals who will be playing in the Women's Open.

The clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the driving range at Kettenring Country Club. Five professionals have already committed to participating, including Faith Egli, Lindy Powers, Diane Patterson, Lorna Miedema and Erin Szekely. Golfers can call the Kettenring Pro Shop at 419-784-5571 to reserve a 20-minute slot with a guest professional that day.
There will be an equipment Demo Day on the driving range at Kettenring Country Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9.

Ten percent of any sales orders from Titleist, Callaway and Adams Golf that day will go to the Defiance Area Foundation.
